Our binder for anode contributes to achieving high-concentration slurry and longer service life by improving capacity retention of LIB compared to SBR/CMC, the conventional water-based binder. Pressure-sensitive adhesives provide convenient bonding at room temperature, but they typically suffer from reduced adhesion strength under high-temperature conditions. To address this issue, we have developed a novel polymerized rosin ester tackifier with a softening point of 150-165 degrees, which exhibits excellent compatibility with n-butyl acrylate-based acrylic resins. Even when added at 50 phr, the adhesive maintains good transparency. Heat-resistance testing confirmed improvements in peel strength and holding power, achieving approximately twice the performance of conventional products. This material contributes to enhanced reliability in high-temperature applications.

Rosin, a natural resin derived from pine trees, has long been used as a medicinal ingredient for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. In this study, we synthesized candidate compounds based on mDA, a rosin-derived compound previously reported to exhibit anti-obesity activity. These candidate compounds were evaluated through in vitro assays and in vivo tests using mice. As a result, two candidate compounds demonstrated higher activity compared to mDA. Moving forward, we aim to develop applications in pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, and functional food ingredients, with potential use for both humans and animals.
