    【Abstract】

The additive manufacturing (AM) market has seen remarkable growth over the past decade, transforming industries such as aerospace, healthcare, and construction. However, the widespread adoption and reliability of AM technologies depend heavily on the establishment of robust standards, which ensure quality, safety, and interoperability. ASTM International is actively developing and refining standards tailored to industry needs. J3DPA’s partnership with ASTM International marks a significant milestone for the Japanese AM market, which has evolved uniquely and is poised for accelerated growth. Through this collaboration, education initiatives based on internationally recognized standards will drive AM development in Japan. Drawing on J3DPA's extensive experience hosting AM seminars and study groups, this presentation will examine the current global AM market and standards landscape, discuss Japan's progress and unique trajectory, and explore key trends shaping the future of AM worldwide.
