    【Abstract】

The ECHONET Consortium is developing standard specifications for home networks that interconnect home appliances, sensors, and controllers, as well as networks for small and medium-sized buildings and stores, to address environmental issues, energy problems, CO2 emissions reduction, and an aging society. Currently, more than 138 million ECHONET Lite devices have been shipped, and the number of device objects has reached 120 models, with the scope of coverage ever expanding. As a new activity, we have proposed "ECHONET 2.0" and developed the ECHONET Lite Web API, a common web specification to extend ECHONET Lite to the web space and enhance coordination with services, aiming to realize an "ordered cooperative space. We will also strongly promote collaboration with other standards and organizations. Through these activities, we will support the realization of the SDGs through various approaches, such as demand control toward carbon neutrality and collaboration with public organizations.
