Neodymium-free rare-earth magnets, "Wellmax™"
Sumitomo Metal Mining's rare-earth magnet material "Wellmax™" is samarium-iron-nitrogen (SmFeN) magnet material that does not use neodymium (Nd), and a high-performance magnet material. It is a SmFeN magnet fine powder with an average particle size of 2 to 3 microns, and a bonded magnet pellets that can be made into various shapes by injection molding. Wellmax™ will make clear your problems.

Low temperature firing copper paste
Sumitomo Metals Mining's KG-2438 is lead-free copper paste for forming circuitry. Conventional copper paste has some problems: high sintering temperature, low adhesion strength, sensitivity to firing atmosphere, and inferior storage stability. KG-2438 has low specific resistance, excellent migration resistance, and solder leaching resistance, making it effective for circuit formation.
Fine copper powder with oxidation resistance
The UCP series of Sumitomo Metal Mining's is submicron particle sized copper powder produced by our unique wet process. It starts sintering at low temperatures. And it is also easy to handle based on its high oxidation resistance, even if in air. The UCP series is expected to be used in a wide range of applications; as a substitute bonding material for gold-tin, etc.

Based on our proprietary technology, Sumitomo Metal Mining has developed a single-crystal Iron Garium (Fe-Ga) magnetostrictive material that can be used for vibratory power generation. This material is expected to be applied to independent power supplies for maintenance-free and etc. We aim to create products, that contribute to society by cooperation with device manufacturers.

Silicone-based thermal grease are highly heat-resistant TIM (Thermal Interface material), but have a risk of contact obstacle due to low-molecular-weight siloxanes. Non-silicone greases have insufficient heat resistance. Sumitomo Metal Mining's non-silicone thermal grease has durability life about 20 times compared to conventional products. And it has the high fluidity required for printing.

Direct Bonded Silicon Carbide Substrate "SiCkrest"
Silicon Carbide (SiC) is expected to grow significantly for power devices. SiCkrest is manufactured by subsidiary Sicoxs corporation. The product is 6inch SiC epi-ready Substrate made by direct bonding
4H-SiC mono-crystal and lower resistivity SiC poly-crystal. This product has low resistivity and high mechanical strength. Since the mono-crystal can be used repeatedly in the production, the total cost of product is reduced.
