Rare earth magnet materials
Wellmax is powerful rare earth magnet material of Sumitomo Metal Mining. It is mainly composed of samarium iron nitrogen(SmFeN) and does not contain expensive rare earth elements such as neodymium(Nd) and dysprosium(Dy). We supply Wellmax in forms of powder or compound for injection molding, and advise on the handling of our materials and injection molding conditions to realize customer’s needs.

Non-silicon based high heat resistant thermal paste
As the operating temperature increases in SiC power devices and 5G devices, high heat resistance and reliability are required for TIM. Silicon-based TIM is mainstream but is concerned about contact failure caused by free siloxanes. Regarding non-silicon resins, heat resistance is insufficient. We developed non-silicon thermal conductive paste with about 20times longer durability than present ones.

FeGa single crystal for magnetostriction material
Sumitomo Metal Mining's technologies enable integrated production from crystal growth to thin plate processing. Fe-Ga magnetostrictive alloys attract attention as vibration power generation material. We developed Fe-Ga single crystal growth process using a vertical Bridgman (VB) method. Our square prismatic crystals achieve low processing loss and stable magnetostriction by composition control.
