Mike Ballard is Vice President of Industry Strategy for the Utilities Global Business Unit at Oracle. Mike has global responsibility for defining the utilities’ strategy for adopting emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Blockchain and Mobility.
Mike Ballard joined the Industry Strategy team of Oracle Utilities from EDF, one of Europe's largest energy companies and has been delivering IT solutions into the utility sector for over 20 years. His experience covers generation, distribution and retail utilities including significant involvement in the deregulation of the UK energy market.
At his role in Oracle, Mike works with utilities worldwide to help prepare for the diverse changes and challenges facing each country and market. Using these global insights Mike is able to share trends and best practices across the globe and to direct Oracle Utilities product strategy to deliver market leading solutions that are dedicated to the utilities industry.
