Exhibition: Inter Aqua 2020
Exhibit Highlights
Looking ahead to the future when the world population reaches 8 to 9 billion, our Center brings together people from academia, industry, and government organizations across Japan to develop and deploy innovative desalination and water reclamation systems based on robust reverse osmosis (RO) membranes composed of nanocarbons.
Product 1 Sample Demo
Reverse osmosis membrane module using nanocarbon composite membrane
Current desalination polymer membranes face problems such as the large consumption of energy due to high-pressure pumps and their low resistance to chemicals. We are working to solve these issues by using nanocarbons to develop a membrane that features robust antifouling and chlorine resistance in addition to superior desalination and permeation properties.
Product 2
Water Environment Improvement Project in Tanzania
Using world’s first systemic water circulation model that couples air, ocean, and land, we will predict water environment in the subject area and perform fluoride dynamics analysis in Tanzania. Furthermore, in light of the situation regarding fluoride contamination in Tanzania, a total water environment management system that includes fluoride removal will be designed.
