【Abstract】
Keeping its barrier is important to the health of the skin. The barrier prevents external attack by foreign substances as well as inhibits the loss of moisture. The skin barrier is primarily located in the "epidermis", which consists of two main barriers. The first line of defense barrier is in the stratum corneum. The second line of defense barrier is the tight junctions formed between epidermal keratinocytes in the granular layer just below it. Stimulation of the Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) of epidermal keratinocytes has been reported to strengthen these tight junctions, but until now there have been no materials suitable for cosmetics. We found that soluble TLR2 agonists applicable to cosmetics can be obtained by fermenting 100% naturally derived materials with a proprietary lactic acid bacterial strain TL24. By lyophilizing it with water-soluble dextrin to stabilize it, we developed a new cosmetic ingredient, "Lactobacillus Fermented Asparagus Extract Powder".
