【Abstract】
In Japan, the measurement of ultraviolet transmittance in sunscreens is primarily conducted through in vivo testing, where SPF and PA values are measured. However, international standards, such as the Colipa standard, employ in vitro testing methods for measuring ultraviolet transmittance. In addition to SPF and UVA-PF, other values are also evaluated according to international standards, and this seminar will provide an explanation of these values used in such standards.
In 2025, new in vitro SPF testing methods, ISO 23675 and ISO 23698, will be published, drawing significant attention. This seminar will provide an overview of these new testing methods and also introduce the in vitro testing equipment, such as SPF analyzers and automatic application robots, required for these new ISO standards.
This seminar will be valuable for those seeking knowledge about international standards, new ISO standards, and in vitro testing equipment.
