【Abstract】

Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum is plant-based natural thickener derived from Tamarind seeds, which are sustainable source as upcycled ingredient. We succeeded in separating and refining a highly purified polysaccharide from tamarind seeds in 1964. It is marketed under the brand names of TAMAVISCO. We explain the properties and characteristics of TAMAVISCO L200, a new type of Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum low viscosity.
TAMAVISCO L200 forms a fascinating elastic gel when used together with glycerin. The gel works as a thin film on the skin to keep moisture content. TAMAVISCO L200 enables applications in spray and pump-former formulations, highly moisturizing lotion, emulsion and cream formulations.
